SUBSTANCE: device 10 designed for inserting long objects 20 such as cables or pipes in cramps disposed inside hard-to-get-at tube 14 has robot truck 27 carrying working pulley 24. The latter is provided with locating head 44 made for displacement in radial direction by means of drive 46, 48. Locating head 44 has two rows 56, 56' each of three longitudinally passed receiving slots 58, 58'. Each of the latter is designed to receive one object 20. Intermediate receiving slots 58' are disposed on locating member 62 protruding beyond adjacent receiving slots 58 and designed for backward motion overcoming force of compression spring 64. Working pulley 24 is equipped with guide unit 74 for at least approximately parallel guiding of objects 20. Device 20 is capable of inserting up to three objects 20 into clamps 18 at a time.
