FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking soil sample and determining physicochemical properties thereof; judging soil fertility on the basis of resultant data. Soil sample is placed into vessel in an amount providing soil layer in vessel of at least 30 cm and pouring water. Soil is considered fertile, when its upper layer has positive charge and lower layer has negative charge with biological potential difference of 20-60 mV. Method allows usefulness of soil, ground, soil mixtures in agriculture, including greenhouse management, to be precisely evaluated. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced time consumption and decreased labor intensity. 4 ex
