FIELD: mass production of headwear for protecting from solar rays. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing headwear comprising peak, hand and central part and adjustable in size; making headwear from developed piece composed of three petals leading from peak, which is separated from petals by fold line, by connecting free ends of outer petals so as to obtain hand and by connecting middle petal with hand for forming central part; separating middle petal from outer petals by making axially symmetric shaped cuts so as to form one or more paired symmetric similar projecting portions; connecting said portions with outer petals along hand lateral sides.
