FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves tuning working device on short circuit current (Isc) reaching the value of 80 mcA. The active electrode is set over the selected biologically active point, the passive one being fixed at some distance from the biologically active point. Voltage is supplied to the electrodes under periodical polarity change condition. Pulse amplitudes of steady state negative and positive polarity are measured. Functional state of the biologically active point is evaluated by comparing the steady state current with the normal electric conductivity case. Therapeutic treatment is applied to a biologically active point using negative polarity current ≥0,5 Isc flowing through it at base voltage. Negative polarity current <0.5 Isc flowing, biologically active point preparation to the therapeutic treatment is carried out by increasing voltage to ≤60B with concurrently restricting negative polarity current with the value of 0,8Isc. The therapeutic treatment is carried out by applying inhibiting or exciting mode. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; accelerated action period. 4 cl, 3 tbl
