INSTALLATION FOR WELDING BELLOWS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: welding production, possibly automatic welding of single- layer and multilayer bellows. SUBSTANCE: installation includes housing, rotator, mechanism for tightening blanks, attachment for welding outer seams of bellows, attachment for assembling and welding inner seams of bellows, welding burner. Attachment for assembling and welding inner seams of bellows includes detachable housing and two mandrels. At tightening one of said mandrel it rests upon additional cover. Upper portion of housing is in the form of branch pipe with threaded end for mounting attachments for assembling and welding blanks. Inside housing around rod there is duct for feeding shield gas. Attachment for assembling and welding outer seams of bellows has detachable housing in the form of hollow cylinder with ducts for feeding shield gas and base in the form of flange for mounting blanks with end parts, with supporting centering rings, with mandrels and with ring halves. Welding burner is mounted in upper portion of housing of installation on movable carriage with possibility of motion and orientation of outer and inner seams in welding zone. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced efficiency and quality of welded seams. 2 dwg
