FIELD: electric arc gas-shield welding by non-consumable electrode for making constructions with mean and high thickness from active metals such as titanium, aluminum and magnesium alloys in different industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding gas forming electric arc and plasma, stabilizing gas and shielding gas simultaneously by three separate fluidic streams; forming annular streams by imparting to each stream rotation around electrode axis along helix in the same direction by different twisting angles and with different gas emission rates increased from inside to outside; additionally orienting outer shielding stream around welding bath by means of protective nozzle; after termination of welding cutting off gas streams according to next order: at first electric arc-plasma forming and stabilizing gas stream, then outer shielding stream. It allows to use simple sharpening contours of tungsten electrodes. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of welding process, increased fusion depth at less welding current, improved structure, mechanical properties and geometry parameters of welded joint. 1 dwg
