FIELD: railway transport; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to friction wedge designed for axle-box suspensions of railway car bogies. Said wedge is made of composite material containing polyoxadiazole fiber, or polyparaphenyleneterephthalamide fiber, or polyamidobenzimidazole fiber, phenol-formaldehyde resin or cresol formaldehyde resin, graphite and polyester fiber, or polyamide fiber or polypropylene fiber, or cotton fiber or flax fiber.
