FIELD: production of ammonia from hydrocarbon raw materials, water vapor and air. SUBSTANCE: method includes compression and purification of raw material from sulfur compounds, vapor and vapor-and-air catalytic conversion of methane, conversion of carbon oxide, purification of nitrogen-hydrogen mixture thus obtained from oxygen-containing compounds, compression, synthesis of ammonia in closed cycle, use of raw material not cleaned from sulfur compounds as fuel, recovery of heat of flue gases and evolution into surrounding medium; part of raw material in the amount of 0.001-0.048 of total amount of hydrocarbon raw material subjected to purification from sulfur compounds is burnt in mixture with compressed air and flue gases thus obtained (in the amount of 0.0146-1.685 of amount of air directed for vapor-and-air catalytic conversion of methane) are fed for vapor-and-air catalytic conversion of methane. Proposed method reduces consumption of hydrocarbon raw material, emissions into atmosphere and provides for recovery of heat of waste flue gases. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 ex
