FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining hydrogen, hydrogen-methane mixture, synthesis-gas, which mainly contains H2 and CO, for production of hydrogen, alcohols, ammonia, dimethyl ether, ethylene for Fischer-Tropsch processes and can be applied in chemical industry for processing of hydrocarbon gases, as well as in technologies of application of hydrogen-methane mixture. Method of methane conversion with obtaining hydrogen-containing gas, in which as raw material source methane-containing gas is applied, its adiabatic oxidation is carried out in catalytic reaction of partial oxidation with water steam and oxygen-containing gas, before mixing with methane-containing gas and oxygen-containing gas electric overheating of water steam to temperature 750-950°C is carried out. Obtaining water steam is carried out in heating heat-exchanger due to heat discharge from products of partial oxidation of methane-containing gas to condensate, which is formed when products of partial methane-containing gas oxidation are cooled.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of methane conversion and other lower alkanes and thermodynamic efficiency of method, reduce metal consumption and reduce content of ballast gases in produced gas.
