SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing hydrogen, a hydrogen-methane mixture, synthesis gas, primarily containing H2 and CO, for producing hydrogen, alcohol, ammonia, dimethyl ether, ethylene, for Fischer-Tropsch processes and can be used in chemical industry for processing hydrocarbon gases, and in technologies using a hydrogen-methane mixture. In the method, the raw material source used is at least two parallel streams containing lower alkanes. Before feeding for partial oxidation, the first stream is mixed with steam and an oxygen-containing gas. A catalytic partial oxidation reaction is then carried out, products of which are mixed with the second stream and catalytic adiabatic conversion is the carried out to obtain a hydrogen-containing gas. The second stream is heated in a heating heat-exchanger by removing heat from products of partial oxidation of the first stream. The oxygen-containing gas used is compressed air or exhaust gas from a high-pressure gas turbine.
EFFECT: low capital costs and low content of ballast gases in the production gas.
