BIOTECHNOLOGICAL METHOD OF ACRYLAMIDE AQUEOUS SOLUTION PREPARING Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2196825 C2

FIELD: chemistry, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention is based on organic compounds. Method is realized by hydration of acrylonitrile in aqueous medium in the presence of microorganisms-containing biocatalyst exhibiting nitrile hydratase activity. Hydration of acrylonitrile is carried out in its 4-20% aqueous mixture with (2-4) x 10-5 % of anion-active and (1.25-2.5) x 10-5 % of cation-active copolymers. Biomass of bacterial strain Rhodococcus rhodochrous is used as biocatalyst. Method involves preliminary successive addition of 0.4-3.0% of aluminium sulfate, 0.05-0.30% of anion-active and 0.02-0.20% of cation-active copolymers (of dry cells mass) to biomass suspension. Acrylamide copolymers containing 5-30 mol.% of acrylic acid links or its ammonium salts, or alkaline metal salts are used as anion-active copolymer. Copolymers of acrylamide and dialkylaminoalkyl(meth)acrylates or their hydrochlorides or sulfates, or their quaternized salts of dimethyl sulfate, methyl chloride containing 50-100 mol.% of cation-active groups are used as cation-active copolymer. Method provides enhancement of output and ecological safety of process in acrylamide aqueous solutions preparing. Volume rate acrylonitrate hydration under effect of biocatalyst is high sufficiently and estimated to be 1.5-3.0 h-1. EFFECT: improved method of preparing. 2 cl, 3 tbl, 16 ex
