FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: saturator has cylindrical casing provided with conical bottom and equipped with process branch pipes and perforated partitions wall formed as flexible membranes arranged in lower part of cylindrical casing, and apparatus adapted for separating juice drops from saturation gas and positioned in upper part of cylindrical casing. Flexible membranes are adapted for dispersing saturation gas flow. Apparatus is made in the form of cone provided with longitudinal helical channels formed on its internal surface and attached with its larger base to wall of cylindrical casing so as to define outside cavity for collecting released drops. Said cavity is communicated with cylindrical casing cavity positioned under truncated cone. Drop collecting cavity is communicated with cylindrical casing cavity positioned under truncated cone through at least four diametrically opposite flexible drain pipes with dead lower ends. Each pipe has longitudinal narrowing nozzles formed in its wall and adapted for supplying juice from juice collecting cavity onto internal surface of cylindrical casing to form liquid film. Saturator may be used in apparatuses for purifying liquid semi-finished products and diffusion juice and for clarifying crude sugar in different sugar refining systems. EFFECT: reduced heat losses and, accordingly, reduced power consumption for saturation process. 2 dwg
