FIELD: railway transport; maintenance of tracks. SUBSTANCE: track machine has frame resting on running bogies and the following units mounted on frame: engine unit, cabin with machine travel and operation control units, device to control leveling of track, track leveling, tamping and lining device, coupled with engine unit and device for checking ballasting of track also mounted on frame together with its control unit. Machine has also unit determining amount of required ballast consisting of device determining lift of track and comparator unit. Unit to determine amount of ballast incorporates special device to determine track shifts, and comparator unit determines amount of ballast to be added to change cross area of ballast section at lifting of track. Invention provides ballasting at track leveling in zones where ballast should be replenished. EFFECT: improved quality of track maintaining, enlarged operating capabilities of machine. 5 cl, 2 dwg
