FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to track machines, particularly, to a complex of tamping machines. Complex comprises a head straightening-and-tamping machine and an independent tamping machine. Each machine comprises a frame, a propulsion unit, a tamping assembly and an encoder. Autonomous machine is additionally equipped with ballast elasticity measuring unit. On the autonomous machine frame there installed are sensors measuring rail and sleeper sagging. Head machine straightens railway track and tamps every second sleeper. Autonomous machine tamps the sleepers proceeding from the elasticity of the ballast under each of them.
EFFECT: higher uniformity of ballast elasticity under sleepers.
