FIELD: igniting devices of powder charge of cartridge for small arms and represents a percussion primer. SUBSTANCE: percussion primer has a shell with a charge of a percussion-ignition compound, having an axial recess, sealed protective coating, metal anvil with an inner cavity engageable with the charge surface fastened in the shell due to elastic deformation and having ignition openings. The charge recess has a cylindrical or tapered shape with a flat bottom, whose diameter makes up 0.4-0.6 of the charge outside diameter. The anvil end is made in the form of a working cone with a rounded-off vertex. The inner cavity represents a truncated tapered recess in the zone of the working cone, whose smaller base diameter corresponds to the thickness of the anvil end bottom, and in the zone of the cylindrical side wall it is made in the form of stepped cylindrical recesses whose inside diameters decrease towards the bottom with the relation between their diameters being 1:(1.2-1.3). The ignition openings are made in the form of equipartitioned cut-outs of the anvil side wall with a break-down in the radial direction of a cylindrical recess of a smaller diameter, the cut-outs in section are formed by conjugate radii. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and stability of ballistic characteristics at an enhanced reliability of the construction of the percussion primer. 3 dwg
