FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ignition devices of powder charge of cartridge for smooth-bore sporting and hunting weapons. Igniting primer consists of a shell into which an anvil and a cap filled with an impact-igniting composition are inserted. Shell is made with a solid bottom, having a thinning on the outer or inner side with thickness of 1/3 to 1/5 of the thickness of the bottom with diameter of 1/2 to 1/3 of the outer or inner diameter and three or four beams stamped on the thinned part, coming from the periphery to the centre at angle of 120° or 90° respectively, with depth from 1/3 to 1/2 of thickness of thinning. Beams stamped on the thinned part of the shell have the shape of an isosceles triangle with base of 0.5 mm and an opposite angle of 60° up to 90°.

EFFECT: creation of compact sealed structure with ignition pulse stability, which allows to increase stability of powder charge ignition process and to reduce spread of ballistic characteristics of cartridge.
