RANGE-ONLY RADAR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: range-only radar is designed for precision measurement of ranges between unspecified number of mobile objects at any time moment. Proposed range-only radar has master station named as central measurement center which includes series connection of first pulse generator of linear frequency modulation, first probe and heterodyne signal shaper, first amplifier, first isolated unit (IU) which second output is connected to input of first receiver, and of first antenna, series connection of first mixer, first band filter, first range search unit, first time substitute synchronizing and shaping unit which third output is connected to third input of first digital adder. Each N identical slave station includes series connection of fourth antenna, second IU and fourth receiver. EFFECT: proposed range-only radar can carry out precision range measurement between unspecified number of mobile objects at any time moment and can expand number of measurement participants without any loss of precision. 5 dwg
