FIELD: nuclear power engineering; manufacture of fuel assemblies for nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: stainless-steel top and bottom nozzles of fuel assembly are subjected after welding to stabilizing heat treatment in vacuum at temperature and within time interval sufficient for removing internal stresses and after that they are cooled down while in furnace first in vacuum and then in inert gas atmosphere to temperature excluding their oxidation; heat treatment is conducted at 870±20°C, exposure time being 100-110 min since furnace has acquired desired temperature; vacuum (residual pressure) P is 0.27 Pa 2x10-3 mm Hg; cooling down while in furnace in vacuum to 600 C; cooling down in inert gas atmosphere from 600 to 150 C; inert gas used for the purpose is helium; complete cycle including heat treatment and cooling down takes 11 h. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption, enhanced output. 8 cl, 2 dwg
