FIELD: water treatment, particularly, methods of suppression of sulfate-reducing bacteria growth and inhibition of corrosion. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in oil industry for prevention of sulfate-reducing bacteria growth in systems of formation pressure maintenance, gathering and treatment of sewage water, water-cut oil and in producing oil formation and in protection of equipment from corrosion. Used in method is chemical reagent in the form of product of reaction of monoethanolamine with formaldehyde taken in mole ratio of 1: (2.01-3.0), respectively. In preferable version of invention, reaction product is introduced in the form of solution preliminarily produced in reaction of monoethanolamine with 30-40% solution of formaldehyde (formalin), preferably, taken monoethanolamine : formaldehyde mole ratio of 1: (2.01-3.0). Aqueous or aqueous-alcohol solution of reaction product is introduced in amount of 0.007-2.0 mas.%. Technical result of the invention consists in extension of assortment of accessible and inexpensive chemical reagents, higher efficiency of suppression of sulfate-reducing bacteria and reduced consumption of chemical reagents, and preserved high degree of protection from corrosion.
