FIELD: mechanical testing, determination of deformations and stresses on surfaces of parts of machines subjected to cyclic loading. SUBSTANCE: procedure determining amplitude of cyclic deformation of part consists in application of cyclic deformation of constant amplitude to reference sample with uniform plastic coat deposited on it and subsequent determination of amplitude of cyclic deformation of part with the aid of same coat as coat deposited on reference sample by means of calibration dependence obtained with loading of reference sample. In the capacity of material of coat there is used solder deposited on examined surface. Metal or alloy which melting temperature is below temperature of tempering of material of part is utilized as material of coat. Coat is polished after application of tin. Used solder can be soft, easily fusible or especially easily fusible. EFFECT: simplified procedure and reduced labor input to undergoing testing. 1 cl, 1 dwg
