PRINTED ARTICLE MANUFACTURE METHOD Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: printing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves securing set of sheets along spine of article, with free end of article opposite to spine being made slanted toward article working surface; decorating working surfaces of sheets and slanted surface with similar pattern, with pattern on working surfaces of sheets being made by application process and pattern on sloped surfaces being made by forming process; marking on side ends of set of sheets, having image applied thereon, lower and upper boundary lines of pattern, to be formed on sloped surface of ready article; placing secured set of sheets on horizontal support; slightly raising spine of article above support surface without separating main part of article from support by bending set of sheets until alignment of side end marks of upper and lower boundaries of pattern in single plane; splitting set of sheets in vertical plane. Free end of article opposed to spine may be made with sloped or cut-off surface. Method provides manufacture of printed article with decoration being kept as sheets are used and removed. EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for retaining decorative effect of pattern on ready printed article. 2 cl, 6 dwg
