FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: flexible polyurethane foam with NCO index 70-120 is prepared by interaction of (i) polyisocyanate composition containing 5-20 wt. parts toluenediisocyanate and 80-95 wt. parts diphenylmethanediisocyanate and its homologues with (ii) polyol composition containing polyoxyethylene- polyoxypropylene polyol with 5-25 wt.% ethylene oxide groups, 2-7 wt. parts water, 2-10 wt. parts - polyol based on polyether with at least 60 wt.% ethylene oxide groups, and 1-15 wt. parts particulate material representing product of reaction of polyisocyanate with compound having a number of hydroxyl, primary and/or secondary amino groups and having equivalent weight up to 400, said material being dispersed in polyol composition. Foamed plastics prepared by method provided herein are also described as well as composition of prepolymer or semi- or quazi-prepolymer having 8-38 wt. % of free NCO groups.
