FIELD: mining industry; applicable in mining of methane-containing coal seams. SUBSTANCE: method includes hole drilling, seam separation, initiation of methane sorbed by coal and its recovery, subsequent extraction of coal. Coal seam district to be degassed is screened from the remaining coal mass. Seam hydraulic separation is effected by injection of solutions containing low-radioactive wastes with transient period to stable state of not more 50 years. Volumes of injected solutions correspond to sorption capacity of seam. Then seam is conserved. In so doing, contrast range of acid-alkali properties of injected and buried liquids is ensured by introduction of solutions of alkalis and acids. Optimal period of radionuclide storage shall exceed period of their stabilization by 10%, and coal shall be washed with water before extraction. Technical result of the invention consists in complex development of coal-methane deposit, production of methane, utilization of properties and possibilities of coal seam for burial of radionuclides, provision of radionuclides stabilization and coal mining.
