PROCESS OF SHORT-FACE WINNING OF SEAM OF COAL OF MEDIUM THICKNESS AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, underground mining of coal. SUBSTANCE: process of short-face winning of seam of coal includes driving of delivery headings, installation of stoppers in them, cleaning operations in chamber and liquidation of interchamber pillar. Cleaning operations are conducted with departure of aggregate into side delivery heading where aggregate is connected to front stopper. After liquidation of interchamber pillar chamber is worked out in opposite direction. Then aggregate is linked to stopper in central delivery heading and interchamber pillar near this chamber is liquidated. Gear for implementation of process incorporates air-operated collapsible support with impingement tools on both ends of support and internal stoppings and pneumatic tube. Tube is made of two concentric tubes: external one to advance impingement tools to face of chamber having metal guards on both ends made fast along perimeter to tube and to outer edge part of internal stopping to form cylinder stacker and internal one for transportation of coal and advance of impingement tool to face. Adjustment branch pipes are embedded in stoppings and guards. EFFECT: simplified design of gear, reduced labor input into erection and dismantling of support in chamber. 2 cl, 5 dwg
