FIELD: transport engineering; couplers. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has pull rod connected with split ring by means of ring grooves and projections. Housing of shock absorbing unit is made sectional, consisting of flange and cup in contact or non-contacting with each other. Neck of flange projects beyond the outlines of frame cross. Cup is provided with hole for pull rod in its thickened bottom. Device is furnished also with flexible members fitted on pull rod at two sides from split ring. Thickness of split ring changes with increase of ring diameter. Split ring consists of two semirings connected by threaded joint. EFFECT: simplified design, increased service life of shock absorbing unit, enlarged range of damping properties of flexible members. 10 cl, 7 dwg
