FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: magnesia- spinellide refractory material for leaning copper-smelting furnaces, heating furnace bottoms, and bottom sections of open- heart furnaces contains, wt %: magnesia-chromium-alumino-ferriferous spinellide 55-84, periclase 10-35, and magnesium silicates 6-12, its chemical analysis being, wt %: magnesium oxide 40.0-57.5, chromium oxide 15.0-26.0, aluminum oxide 8.0- 13.0, iron oxides (on conversion to ferric oxide) 8.0-13.0, silicon oxide 3.0- 6.5, impurities - to 100%. EFFECT: increased resistance to copper oxides and to ferriferous-silicate slags with heat resistance expressed as 4 to 10 changes from 1300 C to water conditions. 4 tbl
