FIELD: medicine; pathologic and normal anatomy for clinical diagnostics and scientific research purposes. SUBSTANCE: method includes devising map of hart ventricles walls and approximating their surfaces through diagnostic points of myocardium by means of grid of triangular elements. This action may be total or zonal depending on purpose. Diagnostic samples are taken only at points designated on map. Standard-diameter pinch is used for taking samples. For the final procedure stereologic information is minimized by statistical interpolation in each triangular element of approximating grid. Stereologic information is obtained by computing barycentric coordinates or by spatial-invariant calculations. EFFECT: enhanced precision and self-descriptiveness of quantitative estimates of myocardium structure. 2 dwg, 4 tbl
