REMOVAL OF CONTAMINANTS FROM GAS FLOWS IN PRODUCTION OF VISCOSE FIBERS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: treatment of gas flows for removal of contaminants, waste gases of viscose production. SUBSTANCE: method of treatment of sulfurous gas containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon disulfide employs two-stage gas-and-liquid contactor when gas flow is brought in contact with aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide for dissolving hydrogen sulfide and carbon disulfide from gas flow. Then, gas flow containing undissolved carbon disulfide and not containing practically hydrogen sulfide are removed from second stage of said gas-and-liquid contactor, aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide is removed from first stage of gas-and-liquid contactor and removed solution is used for contact with additional gas flow fed to first stage, after which removal and additional contact are repeated till required concentration of sodium bisulfide has been obtained. Aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide is removed from second stage of said gas-and-liquid contactor and this solution is used for contact with additional gas flow fed to second stage, after which removal and additional contacting are repeated till required concentration of sodium bisulfide has been obtained in first stage. Then, aqueous solution of sodium bisulfide is removed from first stage and is substituted by solution of sodium hydroxide from second stage; aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide from second stage is substituted by freshly prepared aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide. Aqueous solution of sodium bisulfide is heated for obtaining gaseous carbon disulfide and aqueous solution of sodium bisulfide depleted in carbon disulfide. Gaseous carbon disulfide and aqueous solution of sodium bisulfide are subjected to utilization. EFFECT: enhanced economical parameters of process. 17 cl, 1 dwg
