FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: according to first version, method involves applying fleece of different colors to surface of three-dimensional article covered with glue in non-homogeneous electric field once or several times, with electric field being divided in the direction of movement of fleece into two zones so that zone remote from surface to be processed has electric field intensity approximating to zero and intensity in zone adjoining to said surface may be measured upon each applying process within the range of 2-12 kW/cm; applying final layer of fleece in homogeneous electric field at intensity set within the range similar to that of zone adjoining to said surface. According to second version, method involves providing practically constant electric field flux pattern while changing orientation of article in the process of applying fleece; preliminarily moistening internal surface of article with current-conductive liquid in case of applying multicolored fleece patterns onto article manufactured from dielectric material (including low-conductivity glue layer). To obtain relief fleece patterns at second or subsequent application procedures, fleece with length l(1) of at least 1.5 or l/l(1) of at least 1.5 is used, where l is length of fleece applied at first applying procedure and l(1) is length of fleece at any subsequent applying procedure. Method allows multicolored patterns to be applied onto surface of three-dimensional articles, with contrast and relief being adjusted.
