FIELD: machine engineering, possibly attachment used at working elongated parts such as bodies of revolution, for example at working journals of elongated crank shafts. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mounted on housing of machine tool casing with supports of part; mechanism for fastening part and rotating it around axis of worked surface. Said mechanism is kinematically joined with rotation drive of headstock and tailstock through common drive shaft. Apparatus is also includes spring-loaded stop arranged over supports of part. Mechanism for fastening and rotating part is in the form of lantern gear having ring-half and two annular sectors rotatably joined with ring-half through pivots. Said annular sectors have tangential clamps for part. Supports of part are in the form of roller-pinions and arranged on their ends cylindrical pins engaging with lantern gear. Such apparatus is designed for working adjacent cylindrical surfaces. EFFECT: simplified design, shortened time period for mounting - demounting part. 3 dwg
