FIELD: protective patterns for securities, methods for printing of such a pattern and securities with a protective pattern. SUBSTANCE: the protective pattern for securities, in particular, for banknotes, has a background consisting at least of the first and second areas adjoining each other. The mentioned areas have geometric figures inherent to each of the areas, the first area has a higher color density than the second area, which forms the subject. A superprinting is laid on the second area corresponding to this subject and containing geometric figures differing from the geometric figures of the second area and has one color selected in such a way so as to compensate for the differences in the color density between these two areas. For a naked eye the protective pattern looks as a homogeneous one and having no subject, but the subject will be distinctly seen on the photocopy in the color differing from the color of the first area at photocopying of the protective pattern. EFFECT: facilitated recognition of the photocopy; forgery, from the original of the securities. 15 cl, 5 dwg
