FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; heat treatment of high- carbon steel; manufacture of rope rods and coil semi-finished rolled stock. SUBSTANCE: method includes hot rolling, holding at heat for 0.07-0.09 s followed by cooling at rate above critical limit to temperature of 650-700 C continued for 0.20.3 s, holding in air at total time of heat treatment of rolled stock after rolling to winding in bundles is 0.4-0.6 s; then stock is wound in bundle and cooled in air. EFFECT: improved plastic characteristics at low variations in properties. 2 tbl, 1 ex
