FIELD: mining industry, methods preventing and suppressing endogenous fires occurring in developed part of coal formations. SUBSTANCE: main and deviating holes are drilled into developed space. Insulation belt of bulk material is formed and liquid nitrogen in injected into formed trough. Container with autonomous accumulator of thermal energy in the form of modules of gas generating units is brought through main hole into caved rock of space and into insulation belt. When gas generating units are initiated gasification surges of liquid nitrogen are formed in zone of its accumulation with setting of directional gas and aerosol screen in emergency section. Procedure supposes employment of number of techniques enhancing efficiency of this approach. EFFECT: increased efficiency of suppression of fires thanks to formation of high-power pulses of supply of fire-extinguishing aerosols into zone of formation of gas screen. 5 cl, 1 dwg
