SUBSTANCE: generator that has re-entrant armature winding, field winding, and rotor is provided with semiconductor commutator made in the form of fully controlled forward- and reverse-conducting thyristors disposed between armature winding assembled of separate coils placed in magnetic-system slots and circular current-conducting buses connected to positive and negative output- voltage terminals; anodes of forward-conducting thyristors and cathodes of reverse-conducting ones are interconnected and connected to armature winding coils; cathodes of forward-conducting thyristors and anodes of reverse-conducting ones are connected to current-conducting buses and the latter are connected to positive and negative output-voltage terminals, respectively.
