FIELD: dc voltage transformation from one level to other. SUBSTANCE: transformer has magnetic circuit in the form of rotary magnetic system whose slots accommodate primary and secondary power windings in the form of coils and controllable semiconductor switches of primary and secondary windings made in the form of forward and backward connected controlled semiconductor gates. Voltage is transformed due to revolving magnetic field set up in primary winding upon dc input voltage supply by forward and backward change-over of switch gates for which purpose current pulses are applied to gate electrodes shifted apart through angle depending on number of transformer coils.
