FIELD: cordial surgery. SUBSTANCE: prosthesis surface is treated with antibacterial substance, in particular prosthesis is immersed into 0.5-1.5% solution of hexafluoropropylene and oxygen in 1,2,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane at 40-650 C for 90-30 min. In this case, coating on valve with high wear resistance and thermostability giving rise to higher strength and reliability of prosthesis. Prostheses treated this way additionally acquire antibacterial properties and completely conserve their functional characteristics. EFFECT: increased strength and reliability of prostheses.
