METHOD FOR RESTORING MOTOR LESIONS IN NEONATALS AT PATHOLOGY OF VERTEBRAL COLUMN Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2199993 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with rehabilitation of motor system in neonatals. Doctor should put a baby wearing bathing hat into water in vertical position. Anterior body surface is at doctor's left hand. Baby is descended in cranioventral direction up to level of lumbar muscle at the turn for the angle of 45 deg. against vertical axis. Simultaneously, one should water the baby by right hand onto jugular department of vertebral column. Right hand is put onto area of shoulder blades, left hand - under right axillary fossa, then the baby is descended into water horizontally strictly. Doctor's hands are replaced onto area of forearms to perform "swing"-type exercise. Then in back lying position "figure 8"-type exercise is performed for the baby by alternating it with another exercise named "free hand balance". Then "watering-sinking"-type exercise is once fulfilled. In case of short-term apnea one should perform manual impact by doctor's right hand when thumb is situated under left tragus, opposite side is fixed with forefinger, volar surface is applied at dorsal jugular surface, wrist's rear - at superopectoral department of vertebral column being strictly perpendicular. After that, by removing bathing hat it is necessary to carry out rapid triple "nod-diving"-type exercise. On finishing all these watery procedures one should conduct thermal wrapping up from jugular department of vertebral column towards legs by lifting them for 10-12 cm. The method enables to increase efficiency of rehabilitation at earlier stages of baby's development in case of natal trauma. EFFECT: higher efficiency of restoration. 2 ex _
