FIELD: reservoir building. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method of making of floating roof containing deck and framework consisting of hollow members, flat blanks of rods in form of rectangles and joint members in form of polygons are secured on deck in form of screen. Flat blanks of rods are secured on deck by their longer sides and are inter connected through joint members by welding shorter sides in turn to sides of joint members, passing them along one side, through which joint members are fastened on deck. Roof blank, thus made, is coiled and transported to place of mounting and subsequent operation where framework is formed owing to plastic deformation of material of rod blanks and joint members and part of deck located under said blanks by delivering compressed air into space of framework and feeding light filler through unions provided in some joint members.
