FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: oil product storage reservoir consists of a body, roof and floating protective coating made of multitude of floating elements shaped as revolution bodies of the same shape. In the reservoir a part of elements of the floating protective coating is placed below liquid surface while the other part is in gas space of the reservoir. Floating elements have dimensions differing from each other per 5% at most. At that the floating elements included into the floating protective coating have shifted gravity centre in regard to their geometric centre. All elements of the protective coating are made of sparkles metal.
EFFECT: reduced evaporation rate and concentration of liquid vapour, phlegmatisation of burning process, excluded probability of static charge accumulation and occurrence of electric spark between floating elements.
