FIELD: construction industry, in particular, floating roofs for preventing petroleum products and other evaporating liquids within reservoirs from evaporation.

SUBSTANCE: floating roof of vertical reservoir has central membrane with annular pontoon, water discharge system and hermetically sealing enclosure rigidly joined with its lower end to annular pontoon and with its upper end to rigidity ring of reservoir wall. Hermetically sealing enclosure consists of a set of rigid rings different in diameter, said rings being sealingly connected with one another by means of flexible annular members. Flexible annular members are attached in succession from inner to outer sides of adjacent rigid rings. Floating roof of such construction allows air-and-gas mixture to be prevented from evaporation beyond vertical reservoir.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in eliminating evaporation of air-and-gas mixtures and enhanced reliability in operation of construction on the whole.
