FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy. Proposed engine contains drum installed for rotation on horizontal axle, thermobimetallic elements and heat sources. System of diametrically arranged straight closed tubes partially filled with liquid is installed inside drum. Said tubes are uniformly spaced relative to each other circumferentially being displaced one after the other towards drum axle and flexible secured by ends in bushings installed on inner surface of drum. Thermobimetallic elements are made in form of strips cantilever mounted inside bushings and arranged in cross planes of drum at one side of tubes in direction of round path of drum, and heat sources are arranged in parallel with drum axle at two sides of drum and in one horizontal plane with axle.
