FIELD: electric drives of electromagnetic actuators. SUBSTANCE: device has electromagnet in the form of flat coil with slit-shaped air gap and two flat ferromagnetic cores, as well as driven section, guides with stops, and locking members. Coil is mounted so that slit-type air gap occurs in vertical plane and longitudinal axis is oriented horizontally. Ferromagnetic cores are made in the form of disks suspended by means of rods and bushes from common horizontal shaft for rotation relative to shaft and for easy relative displacement along shaft thereby forming physical pendulums. Pendulum suspending shaft is arranged beyond coil near one of its ends perpendicular to slit-type gap plane. Driven section is, essentially, nonmagnetic strip loosely mounted in air gap of coil and between ferromagnetic cores whose planes are facing each other; its side edges carry locking members contacting guide stops.
