FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine is designed for conversion of heat energy into mechanical energy (rotation) and it can be used as drive in different mechanisms. Engine contains system of members cantilever mounted on horizontal axle for rotation in plane perpendicular to axle and displaced relative to each circumferentially. It includes also heat source and cooling system. Each cantilever member is made in form of bimetallic helical spring on free end of which unbalance weight is secured being moved from longitudinal axis of spring by means of rod being turned around said axis at operating temperature differential through angle of 180 degrees. EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability and stability in operation. 1 dwg
