FIELD: diagnostics of pipelines. SUBSTANCE: correlation analyzer has two pickups of acoustic signals. One pickup is connected with inlet "start" and other pickup is connected with inlet "stop" of electronic device for calculating correlation spectrum. Analyzer includes in addition electronic device for calculating correlation spectrum. Inlet "start" of said device is connected with acoustic signal pickup connected with inlet "stop" of first electronic device for calculating correlation spectrum. Inlet "stop" of said device is connected with acoustic signal pickup connected with inlet "start" of first electronic device for calculating correlation spectrum. Outlets of both electronic devices are connected with unit for subtracting signals. In the result acoustic signals whose source is arranged outside tested zone of pipeline (noise signals) are mutually subtracted remaining for analysis spectral curves of signals whose sources are arranged in pipeline between mounted in it acoustic signal pickups. EFFECT: detection of acoustic signal with unknown beforehand values of amplitude, frequency and duration and with amplitude comparable with that of acoustic noise background of pipeline or less than it. 2 dwg
