FIELD: adsorbing various components of gas mixture and extracting desired components in the course of desorption. SUBSTANCE: adsorber has vertical cylindrical case, top and bottom end plates of case, outlet nozzle, partition, and hollow cylindrical insert with top and bottom end plates. Insert is disposed coaxially within case and forms annular space between cylindrical walls of insert and case; it also has top and bottom gas passages. Each gas passage communicates with annular space. Partition is installed within insert where it is tilted through 5 to 15 deg. to center line of case and functions to divide insert space into first and second chambers, sectional area of first chamber being gradually reduced from top downwards and that of second chamber, from bottom upwards. At least one hole is provided in lower part of partition to allow for gas passage from first chamber to second one. Annular space, inner space of first chamber, and inner space of second chamber arranged in tandem along gas flow are filled with adsorbents possessing different absorbing capacity with respect to components of working gas mixture. EFFECT: enhanced performance characteristics including high selective absorbing capacity and high absorption efficiency during desorption; facilitated installation and transportation. 11 cl, 1 dwg
