FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: filter-sorber consists of a cylindrical housing, a bottom, a cover, lower and upper sliding plates, and inlet and outlet connection pipes. The filter-sorber has at least one cylindrical drum loaded with sorbent and placed vertically inside the cylindrical housing and placed between the lower and upper sliding plates supported by their faces. The inlet and outlet pipes are fitted on the cylindrical housing over the upper and under the lower sliding plates respectively. In the inlet chamber formed by the upper sliding plate, the top part of the cylindrical housing and the cover, on the upper sliding plate, there is an upper cylindrical insert. In the outlet chamber formed by the lower sliding plate, the bottom part of the cylindrical housing and the bottom, on the lower sliding plate, there is a lower cylindrical insert. The lower cylindrical insert is fitted coaxial with the cylindrical housing. The distance between the cover and the upper cylindrical insert increases along its perimetre away from the inlet pipe. The distance between the bottom and the lower cylindrical insert increases while along its perimetre away from the outlet pipe.
EFFECT: more efficient purification of a gas stream from impurities.
