XENON CONCENTRATION BLOCK AND METHOD OF ITS OPERATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F25B37/00 A61M16/00 B01D53/02

Abstract RU 2670635 C9

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to concentrate spent medical xenon. Xenon concentrating unit contains vertical cylindrical body (1), upper housing cover (2), inlet (3) and outlet (4) nozzle. Inlet and outlet nozzles are located on the housing cover so that the inlet pipe is connected to tubular gas communication (5), which directs the flow of the incoming gas mixture to the bottom of the housing and distributes it evenly over the base. Outlet branch allows to exit the cleaned gas mixture through the housing cover. Internal volume of the shell is filled with granular and / or block-molded nanoporous carbon adsorbent by at least 80 % of the internal volume of xenon concentration block (6), with an average effective pore width from 0.6 nm to 1.2 nm, a nanopore volume of more than 0.4 cm3/g. Method of operation is that a safety valve is opened at the outlet pipe that is open during the gas discharge and closed during the idling time of the xenon concentration unit, spent breathing mixture containing not less than 10 % xenon is supplied to the xenon concentration unit. Gas line between the inhalation device and the xenon concentrating unit for gas discharge is made of materials that do not contain silicone, and comprises a non-reversible valve located near the outlet of the inhalation device for guiding the gas flow in the xenon concentration unit.

EFFECT: increase the efficiency of extraction of xenon from the spent respiratory mixture and simplify operation.
