FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: one should determine the level of interleukin-10 in lacrimal liquid of sick eye. At its concentration being equal or above 77 pcg/ml teardrop one should predict restoration of vision. At interleukin-10 concentration being equal to 58 pcg/ml teardrop, or lower the development of partial atrophy of optic nerve is predicted. The method provides possibility to restore vision after optic neuritis in patients with multiple sclerosis based upon earlier prediction of partial atrophy of optic nerve. EFFECT: higher efficiency of prediction. 1 dwg, 2 ex, 1 tbl
