FIELD: code-division multiple-access communication systems using direct modulation of pulse sequence. SUBSTANCE: device uses Graham-Schmidt orthogonalization for modifying signature sequences, each being coupled with particular code- division multiple-access (CDMA)signal in expanded-spectrum composite signal. Pre-orthogonalization procedures are proposed to be used for instance to facilitate CDMA signal subtraction from expanded-spectrum composite signal for better detection of CDMA signals in expanded- spectrum composite signal. Modified signature sequences may be then used for expanding correlation of source signature sequences during subtraction procedure or in the course of detection or improving detection characteristics. EFFECT: eliminated or reduced generation of jamming in multiple-access mode due to pre-orthogonalization. 16 cl, 8 dwg
