SUBSTANCE: method involves, before grafting, determining extent of deflection of rooting of graft and rootstock cuttings from optimal factor of 80%; calculating total deflections of graft-rootstock pair and providing selection for grafting of pairs having total deflection value within the range of 0-14%. EFFECT: provision for producing long-life grafted plantations by selecting grafts and rootstocks with predetermined biological capacity of cuttings for rooting. 2 tbl
